Asa James McNeil, Sr. was born May 9, 1982 to (Elder) Gregory McNeil and his wife Vallerie McNeil (Bailey). As the son of a pastor, he was brought up in the admonition of the Lord. The passing of his father in 2002 at the early age of 18 pushed him to further his faith in the One who gives us strength in times of trouble. He was appointed to the ministry soon thereafter in 2006 to the rank of Elder.
Elder McNeil is earnest in living a life within the framework of the Covenant, which includes keeping God’s Seventh (7th) day Sabbath and abiding by the commandments of God. He also believes in being blessed by assisting the work of the church, which caused him to volunteer for pastorship. Third Tabernacle Beth El, Greensboro, NC needed a local pastor and at the Feast of the Lord’s Passover in 2015, Rabbi Jehu August Crowdy, Jr., GFA sent Elder McNeil to lead the members of Greensboro. From that day, Elder McNeil has made it his goal to make the Greensboro tabernacle “The Greenhouse, where every body grows”.
In October 2021, Chief Rabbi Phillip E. McNeil, Grand Father Abraham saw fit to return Elder Asa to his home in Cincinnati as local pastor of Seventh Tabernacle. Elder McNeil looks forward to everyone growing in Cincinnati, as did the Saints in Greensboro.
